1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Personal information you disclose to us

In short: We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us.

We collect personal information you provide when you express interest in our products, contact us, or otherwise interact with the Services. This may include:

  • Names
  • Email addresses
  • Contact preferences

All personal information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate.

Information automatically collected

In short: Some information — such as your IP address and browser/device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.

This information doesn’t reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and how you use our Services. This is used to maintain security, operate the site, and for internal analytics.

We collect this through:

  • Log and Usage Data — service and diagnostic data our servers automatically collect (IP address, device info, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps).
  • Device Data — information about the device used to access our Services (browser type, hardware model, operating system).
  • Location Data — general/imprecise location inferred from IP address. You can limit this via your device or browser settings, though some site features may be affected.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, and comply with the law.

We may process your personal information to:

  • Deliver and facilitate our Services
  • Respond to inquiries and offer support
  • Send administrative information (e.g., changes to our terms or policies)
  • Request feedback
  • Send marketing and promotional communications, where you’ve opted in (you can opt out anytime)
  • Identify usage trends and improve our Services
  • Determine the effectiveness of our marketing

3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In short: We only process your personal information when we have a valid legal reason to do so.

If you are located in the EU or UK

We rely on:

  • Consent — where you’ve given permission for a specific purpose; you can withdraw this anytime.
  • Performance of a Contract — where necessary to provide the Services you’ve requested.
  • Legitimate Interests — such as improving our Services or supporting our marketing, where this doesn’t outweigh your rights.
  • Legal Obligations — where required to comply with the law.

If you are located in Canada

We may process your information with your express or implied consent, which you can withdraw at any time, or in specific legally permitted circumstances (e.g., fraud prevention, legal proceedings).

4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

In short: We may share information with the following categories of third parties.

  • Data Analytics Services (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console)
  • Website Hosting Service Providers
  • Sales & Marketing Tools (as we adopt them, e.g., email marketing platforms)

We may also share information in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets).

As DesignPatterneer grows — for example, if we add display advertising networks or additional third-party tools — we will update this section and this Privacy Notice accordingly.

5. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

In short: We may use cookies and similar technologies to collect and store information.

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain the security of our Services, understand how visitors use our site, and support basic site functions.

Google Analytics & Google Search Console

We use Google Analytics to track and analyze use of our Services, and Google Search Console to monitor site performance in search results. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more on Google’s privacy practices, see their Privacy & Terms page.

6. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?

In short: We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own.

Regardless of your location, your information may be transferred to and processed in facilities we or our service providers operate, including in the United States and other countries. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we take measures to protect your information consistent with this Privacy Notice and applicable law.

7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In short: We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this notice, unless a longer period is required by law.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide and improve our Services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. For example, Google Analytics retains event-level data for up to 14 months by default. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

8. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

In short: We aim to protect your information through appropriate technical and organizational measures.

Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, so any transmission of information is at your own risk.

9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In short: We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

By using our Services, you represent that you’re at least 18, or the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction. If we learn we’ve collected data from a minor, we will delete it. Contact us at designpatterneer@designpatterneer.com if you believe we’ve collected such data.

Opting out of marketing: Unsubscribe anytime via the link in our emails, or by contacting us directly.

Cookies: Most browsers accept cookies by default; you can set yours to refuse them, though this may affect some site features.

11. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most browsers include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature. As there is currently no uniform standard for recognizing DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them.

12. DO UNITED STATES RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In short: If you’re a resident of a state with a comprehensive privacy law (e.g., California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing.
